During her championship defense against Ember Moon, Asuka suffered a broken collarbone. WWE broke the news on its website, reporting that she will be out of action for up to two months.

“During the match, she landed awkwardly from a throw from Ember Moon and was able to complete the match, but had notable pain and discomfort,” Dr. Westerfield said. “We performed an initial ultrasound backstage that was highly suspicious of a break that was later confirmed by an X-ray.”
WWE has not announced if she will be stripped of her championship. If that happens, it will bring an end to an impressive championship run that is now over 500 days.
Before the injury, there was plenty of speculation that Asuka may be moved to the WWE roster on either “Raw” or “SmackDown.” Those plans are obviously on hold.
