While there has been no definite word from Nvidia yet, there is a possibility that the company may be looking to relaunch its GTX 1080 Ti GPU at some point. Speculations began to grow after a user on Twitter posted that someone managed to get hold of a 1080 Ti which had been manufactured in 2021. This is especially interesting because this model of graphics card is more than four years old at this stage.

The Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti was first launched in March 2017, which means if the person mentioned in the tweet did get hold of one, it could suggest that an up to date version of the card may be coming. It’s important to reiterate that these are still only rumors and Nvidia has not yet confirmed whether the 1080 Ti is making a rejuvenated comeback or not.
With companies relaunching old stock in a bid to keep gamers and PC enthusiasts happy in the meantime, many are still left twiddling their thumbs while they wait for stock of new products to become available again. As of the time of this writing, there has been no official word yet when this will be the case, however it’s entirely possible that customers may not be able to get hold of an AMD or Nvidia GPU until 2022.
With Nvidia looking to not just reintroduce the GTX 1080 Ti back into the market, but possibly begin manufacturing them again, gamers could start to see a new wave of older-sounding products begin to make themselves known. On top of that, there are talks of GameStop also looking to start selling PC hardware in the hope of offering another avenue for customers to buy GPUs from. Maybe this will kick things into gear temporarily. Only time will tell.
