According to a report, which references a tweet, two cards being developed by Nvidia will be announced on December 17, namely the RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB, and the RTX 3080 12 GB. The leak claims that both of these products will be hitting the shelves on January 11. Both of these cards will be newer iterations of GPUs that are already out. The new 3070 Ti will have double the RAM than its predecessor, which has 8 GB of memory, while the new 3080 will have 12 GB compared to the current model which has 10 GB.

The report also gives a release date for the rumored re-release of the RTX 2060, which will have 12 GB of RAM and be launching on December 7. The newer version of the 2060 will be built on the Turing processor developer by Nvidia, and will have double the amount of memory than the previous model. It’s likely that the company has been looking to re-launch older products with newer technology in order to plug a gap in the market that’s still experiencing a hardware deficit.
Currently, it seems that “team green” is pushing out a number of products, despite the current shortages in which consumers are struggling to get hold of new products unless they wish to pay hiked prices. Recently, some rumors began spreading about desktop versions of both the RTX 3050 and 3050 Ti, with specs allegedly leaking. Again, this shows that Nvidia is keen to keep the market ticking over by unleashing graphics cards, potentially saturating the market.
Of course, all of these are simply rumors at the moment, so should be taken with a pinch of salt at this stage. On top of all the new GPUs on the horizon, Nvidia may also be getting ready to move into the next generation of graphics card technology. This is all well and good, providing gamers and PC enthusiasts can get hold of any of these new products that are flying out the factories.
