The plan was for Rocky to be lowered from the ceiling in an harness to pump up the fans before the game, but somewhere along in the process things went terribly wrong.
Instead, the fans saw Rocky's lifeless and limp body suspended in midair and he slowly descended from the rafters.
Even worse, the TV angle made it appear as though the mascot was being hanged before he eventually collapsed on the court.
7NEWS in Denver reported that the mascot had the wind knocked out of him before making his descent.
Not to worry though. The Nuggets' furry friend is just fine.
