How To Play Wordle
Wordle is the massively popular little word game by the New York Times Games. It went viral in early 2022, and this spawned a bunch of copycats and clones, like the one that has players guessing Pokemon in the Wordle style. The original is still hosted on both the NYT Games site and the newspaper’s Crossword puzzle app. Other versions will have different answers than what is listed in this article, and they may also have slightly different rules.

First, players need to choose a great starting word. This word should be filled with common letters, and it needs to be a five-letter English word. Proper nouns and offensive words cannot be used, and old Wordle answers should not be used either. Once a good starting word has been chosen, players should type it into the site and press enter. The letters will change colors to give some clues.
Letters that turn green are correct and in the right place in the word. Letters that turn yellow are correct but in the wrong place in the word. Gray letters are incorrect and won’t be in the answer.
Given these clues, players need to keep trying words and getting new color-coded clues until they run out of tries or get the answer right. Puzzles reset daily at midnight local time.
